Andermatt is a village in the canton of Uri in Switzerland. Together with Realp and Hospental, it lies in the valley of Urseren, 22km (14 miles) south of Altdorf. The town can easily be reached in less than half an hour from either Zurich or Lugano via the A2 motorway which effectively divides the whole of Switzerland. The centrally located Andermatt, next to the main roads north-south and east-west, is thus easily reached and has excellent links to the extensive public transport network
